This position may be used to fill multiple vacancies. Under limited supervision and a lead worker’s direction, the Grants Specialist Senior will: • Assist in coordinating the Older Americans Act Title III funds as well as act as a division-wide resource on grant and contract management • Provide oversight of contracts with and activities of the 7 Minnesota Area Agencies on Aging, including the hundreds of sub-contracts these area agencies have with local partners • Coordinate with regional organizations (including oversight of contracts with local partners), other state agencies, and the federal government, especially pertaining to newly developed federal regulations for the OAA, to ensure effective grant management. • Serve in an consultant capacity for the division regarding grant management and assists with the division’s contract management. This includes: o Providing consultation and guidance to other staff members throughout the division by assisting in the development and administration of processes associated with grant management and ensuring these processes are compliant with federal, state, and agency requirements • Lead workers and the position’s supervisor in contract development, negotiations, and amendments by performing relevant administrative and preparatory work
